MARVEL LEGENDS - Nakia Review !!!

From the Black Panther series here is Nakia . Nakia is a character of the Black Panther franchise I was not familiar with until the figure came out along with the character being introduced to the media via the live action Black Panther movie . This figure of Nakia is based on her looks in that Black Panther movie , and not the comic version . I purchased this figure of Nakia at a local Walmart for around the $19.99 price range .

If you're having trouble seeing Nakia's bio caption on the back , it says "A member of the Dora Milaje. Nakia protects the reigning Black Panther with strength and poise . " Judging from this caption tells us that she is a body guard of the Black Panther . And that when you google " Dora Milaje" you'll discover that that is simply the name of the group of female body guards that protect T" Challa AKA The Black Panther .
Above, the Black Panther logo almost reminds me of an Autobot or Decepticon logo from Transformers. I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way about the logo's Transformer like look .
Of all of the accessories that you see in the above pic, only the rings belong to Nakia . The rest belongs to this series build-a-figure known as Okoye .
Above is the Build-A-Figure piece of the torso of Okoye .

As you can see the spear is very tall. Not only taller than Nakia but a lot of other Marvel Legends.
In my opinion Nakia is a very nicely and beautifully decorated figure . A very nice mixture of the colors orange and silver . She is also the first Marvel Legends figure to my knowledge that has curls for a hairstyle. Hasbro did a nice job detailing the curls in her hair . The figure's joints are nice and tight, just the way us collectors like them . No more loose joints, such as loose legs and arms. I've noticed that the joints have been tighter on a lot of the latest Marvel Legends recently, which is a good thing . The movie company did a nice job of giving not only Nakia but the other Black Panther characters attire that looks completely African . Great job and the toy looks great as well .
Is it just me or does Nakia's lipstick on her upper lip looks smeared a little .  This however is only noticeable in very bright light . In dim or normal lighting it can barely be seen . I'm not complaining about it as a gripe though because it does not bother me . However I thought I would point out this paint mishap.
The character is listed as being six feet tall, so the figure is in line scale wise with the character, at right about six inches tall . Whereas in six inch scale figures six inches translates into being six feet tall .

I love how the silver shines in bright light, just like real silver .

Nakia's ring like weapons can be held in either hand, plus one day they may can be used again in making a very little known Marvel villain known as " The Ringer " .

Nakia's rings could be used again to make a Marvel Legend of the above character's weapons . Although I prefer the original look of the Ringer, which is the green and orange version .
If you own a WWE Mattel figure of Kamala in your collection, then you already know he comes with his shield but not his spear . The spear intended for Okoye could be used to complete Kamala's total look on his entrance to the ring . However the spear handle is too skinny to fit tightly into his only hand capable of holding it, since his right is a closed fist . You would have to have Kamala holding the spear resting it on the ground, as you see the the above pic, because if you try to make him hold the spear in the air it will slip through his grip .
                                                                 FINAL    THOUGHTS

(1) ARTICULATION  LIMITS  - No limits except for the right shoulder pad almost limits the upper outward arm movement .

(2) STANDING  ABILITY - The figure stands well without balance issues .

(3) WHAT  I  LIKE  BEST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? - The nice mixture of colors in her costume . I like how the silver ornaments on her attire shine in bright lighting, duplicating the effects of real silver being exposed to light . The figure looks wonderful .

(4) WHAT  I  LIKE  LEAST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? - Nothing disliked .

(5) WHAT  COULD  HAVE  BEEN  DONE  TO  IMPROVE  THE  FIGURE ? - No improvements needed .

(6) GRADING  SCALE  - A Perfect 10 !!! I could find no flaws .

(7) FINAL  ANALYSIS -  I hope to see more characters from the Black Panther franchise as Marvel Legends in the future . Especially Man-Ape , he would make a very cool Marvel Legend .
